Kaikoo Series IV & XVI
location: N. side Imperial, E. of Saturn

These vividly painted steel works by Betty Gold are from a series of 17 pieces. All were designed in Hawaii which inspired the title Kaikoo, meaning "high tide." Each piece is created from one rectangle cut into shapes that could fit back together like a puzzle. The set of finished sculptures resemble figures or non-objective shapes, with the central theme in the foreground.
